2005 sees our 15th year in business!

I started Scale Models in the late eighties as a re discovered hobby, following a discussion with friends on holiday about childhood Christmas and favourite toys!

By 1993 it had developed and I gave up my business in the building trade. Scale Models was launched as a full time occupation, building on my own love of collecting the old cars from my childhood, and also developing a passion for a good race night with friends on a home built circuit.

In 1996 with the growth of the mail order business and the increasing range of new manufacturers producing fantastic models for the ever-growing band of enthusiasts, Scale Models became a husband and wife team, and Julie became a full time partner.

The Stock Room!

In 1997 we launched our Web site, and in 1998, managed to move premises so enabling us to add to the staff, and computerise our customer records.

The Office

Our aim is to offer a friendly professional service to all our customers, and we always welcome the opportunity to do so.

Whilst we now offer the full range of modern release slot racing cars from all the main manufacturers, our first love remains the original old Scalextric Cars, our expertise being to source, renovate and present the models from the 1960's/1970's in as near to original condition as possible. We run a '1st class' International Mail Order System and produce a comprehensive list of stock free of charge - please feel free to contact us for your copy.
