Please read the following carefully before placing orders with us. When placing an order you agree to there terms. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

Scale Models reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these terms of use, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates on any subsequent orders.

Order Acceptance and processing

Orders are not classed as accepted until we have confirmed that stock is still available. This is particularly important for items of limited stock such as Collectors Cars (mostly one-offs), Limited Editions, and Special Offers. If we are unable to fulfil an order we will notify you as soon as possible, and allow you to amend or cancel your order. We will not take payment until we are able to fulfil your order, nor will we ship an order until payment has been confirmed.

Scale Models reserves the right to refuse any order or any part of an order or to require further or better information to enable us to proceed.

We undertake to ship stock held items with in one week of receipt of order. Delivery times depend on destination. Items that are out of stock will take longer, and we will inform you if there will be a delay, giving you the option to cancel or amend your order. If you require a specific item within a particular timeframe we advise you to contact us by phone.

Occasionally we allow pre-ordering of items not yet available. In this case we will ship items within one week of them becoming available. You may amend or cancel pre-orders up to the time the items become available. We will not take payment for pre-orders until we are able to fulfil the order.

Please do not send payment with out first ensuring the goods are still available. Goods are despatched only upon receipt of payment in full. Prices All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of UK VAT.

* IMPORTANT: Paypal transactions are actioned at the time of placing the order, even for pre-orders. We will of course refund or adjust transactions as appropriate, in the event of orders being cancelled, goods being unavailable, or prices changing.

Guarantees

All items purchased form Scale Models are warranted in accordance with the law, and nothing herein excludes or restricts any rights granted by law to consumers. Individual products may be subject to guarantees given by their manufacturers directly- such warranties etc are not enforceable against Scale Models, but only against the company giving them.

If you are not fully satisfied with any goods you receive from us, please notify us immediately. If goods received are faulty or damaged on arrival, or are different from the goods advertised and ordered, you are entitled to your choice of a refund or replacement (if available) including reimbursement of costs of repackaging and returning the defective items. Please note we can not cover damage or wear caused by use of the products. If you want to return unused goods for any other reason, we will not reimburse the costs of doing so. We cannot accept return of used items unless they are faulty or damaged on receipt.

Missing Parcels 

If you are concerned that your order has not arrived please contact us by telephone or email to obtain a date of dispatch and details of the postal service used. In the unfortunate circumstance that Scale Models have dispatched a parcel to you and it does not arrive within the parcel carriers allocated delivery time please contact them to make a claim.

Scale Models cannot be held responsible for items not delivered after they have been dispatched.

Privacy

We will not retain any information about customers, including credit card details, any longer than is necessary to complete orders submitted and satisfy our accounting system. Except that if you choose to open an Account with us (see our Secure OnLine Ordering help pages) we will retain the information you provide for use with subsequent orders, until such time as you ask for the account to be closed. Under no circumstances will we pass on any information provided by customer to any 3rd party, unless we are required to do so by law.

We will not send unsolicited email to customers unless it directly concerns an order placed, or actions arising from placing or attempting to place an order. Except that if you request to join our mailing list we will use that mechanism to send out periodic news of our products and services. You are free to join and leave the mailing list as you see fit.

Whilst our site contains links to other sites on the internet- these are owned and operated by third parties- Scale Models is not responsible for the availability of, or the content located on or through these external sites, - Nor for any transactions between you and such sites. You should contact the site administrator or webmaster of such sites if you have any concerns regarding such links, content or transaction.
