New World Record!

Sat 17th June: Two memorable events took place - England beat Germany at Football! - And

We beat the World Record for the longest ever Scalextric Circuit. A total of 2550 feet!

Whilst we were filming the 'Scalextric Story' Video, Steve Berry laid down the challenge, so we at Scale Models - along with Trafford Centre Models had to have a go!

We started as the match finished- and by 2 in the morning we were 'Record Breakers'. A Scalextric Mercedes CLK broke the world record, expertly driven by Ben Harding (age 12).

The BBC cameras were there- and we will announce on the web site when we have a date for it to be televised.

A Big team effort with over 20 people taking part - Well Done to All involved.

Sorry, bit blurry!
